You’ll be a core engineer on our AI build team, working directly with our CTO and Head of Engineering to design and ship agentic workflows and AI-powered applications. This isn’t a research role and it isn’t a ‘pilot’ role — we’re building production systems that run the business.

You’ll own end-to-end delivery of agent patterns and AI applications: from architecture decisions to deployed, observable, production-grade code. You’ll work across our GCP platform — Vertex AI, BigQuery, Cloud Run, Firestore — and integrate with our core systems including NetSuite, Shopify, Zendesk and Asana.

What You’ll Build

Agentic workflows

• Autonomous scheduled agents that read, reason and write across our business systems
• Human-in-the-loop agent patterns with approval gates, Zendesk sidebar apps and async delivery
• Real-time customer-facing agent flows integrated with our Shopify storefront
• Multi-step tool-calling pipelines using MCP server integrations

AI-powered applications

• Internal tools for CS, merchandising and operations teams built on our GCP stack
• Zendesk App Framework sidebar applications embedding live agent output into CS workflows
• React frontends for customer-facing AI features (price match, product recommendations, personalisation)
• Prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks and structured output pipelines

Platform and infrastructure

• Agent architecture on Vertex AI Agent Engine with Claude and Gemini models
• Cloud Run services, Cloud Functions and Pub/Sub event-driven pipelines
• Firestore session state, Cloud Storage and BigQuery data layers
• Observability: Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring and alerting across all agent runs

What We’re Looking For

You’ll need

• 3–5 years of software engineering experience with strong Python and/or TypeScript
• Hands-on experience building with LLM APIs — tool calling, structured outputs, prompt design
• Practical GCP experience: Vertex AI, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Firestore, BigQuery
• Comfortable building and shipping full-stack or frontend applications (React preferred)
• A clear understanding of agent patterns — orchestration, tool layers, state management, HITL gates
• Strong instincts for production-grade code: logging, error handling, retries, observability

Highly regarded

• Experience with Vertex AI Agent Engine or similar agent runtimes (LangGraph, CrewAI, etc.)
• Zendesk App Framework or similar CRM extension development
• Shopify Storefront API or headless commerce experience
• MCP (Model Context Protocol) server integration
• NetSuite or similar ERP integration work
