Summary of primary job responsibilities:

The Front-end Developer will be responsible for planning and implementing the front-end development roadmap, building scalable/responsive web design, process automation, testing, and deployment of front-end customizations in conjunction with the business stakeholders.

  • Work within a self-organized team of NetSuite & SuiteCommerce developers & administrators (Front -/Web End) and connect the business departments.
  • Act as a role model and foster agile methods and work hand in hand with teammates.
  • Help on improving IT Practices/Processes within responsibility areas such as Development, Deployment, Release & Testing. 

Development (Planning, Dev & Testing)

  • Oversee front-end platform development to meet key objectives, budgets, and deadlines
  • Manage processes, planning, and execution of front-end platform development
  • Define roadmap & goals for front-end development. 
  • Deliver technical consulting and services based on business’ e-commerce requirements
  • Write functional requirement documents and guides
  • Use markup languages like HTML to create user-friendly web pages
  • Maintain and improve website
  • Design mobile-based features
  • Translate business & customer requirements (user stories) into functional and appealing interactive applications
  • Develop new user-facing features
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
  • Ensure that all business input is validated before submitting to back-end
  • Get feedback from, and build solutions for, users and customers
  • Implement third-party tools and codes (tracking codes, SEO tools, necessary business integrations)
  • Ensure high quality graphic standards and brand consistency
  • Stay up to date on current trends/changes and best practices in web development and e-commerce web development


  • Provides 2nd level support and assistance to Customer Service Team and other business stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot issues and workflows.


  • Report to the Lead Developer and work closely with Tech Team and business stakeholders based in Perth & Melbourne, Australia

What we’re looking for :

  • At least 2 years front-end web development experience
  • HTML5, CSS3, SASS/SCSS, Javascript, jQuery, Ajax, Bootstrap, JSON
  • Good understanding of web technologies and best practices (W3C standard)
  • Knowledge on responsive web design, UI/UX, and cross-browser compatibility
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good to have skills but not required: Google Cloud Platform (e.g GA, GTM, Merchant Center), BitBucket and Git, front-end frameworks, agile/scrum concepts and practices
  • Amenable to temporary work from home and preferably with at least 25mbps reliable home internet connection

Please note that this job opening is office-based, however as COVID-19 response we are working from home and based on assessment.
